Re: First on console - Xbox
Sorry, maybe I should change the thread title (can I even do this?). It just means that the first console it will come to is the Xbox. I believe it will release on Xbox and PC at the 'same' time, just based on the fact that it is a PC game but Microsoft have tended (at least in the past) to want a s...

Re: First on console - Xbox
I should say that I do think that it is very cool and good for the game to be coming to consoles. Given that it was in a 'First to console' section I would assume that it will come to PS4 eventually, which is awesome! I was just a little disappointed that I will have to wait (I don't think my PC wil...

Re: Possible Console Version?
Oooo..... It's very cool that publishers actually contacted you (at least I think so :D ). Of course all your decisions sound correct to me, who would want to lose control of their own project and IP both creatively (probably) and financially?! If (/when?) GoaT is successful it sounds like the possi...

Re: Hats for a hat collection
Pirate hat! http://chiseledrocks.com/resources/galleries/ratz/sketch_Pirate_mouse_by_Eugene_Arenhaus.jpg (I very much hope that IS a mouse and not a rat :)) On another note I would like to be my usual boring self and ask if having the mouse wear rather 'silly' hats would fit into the immersive and s...

Re: Pre-Alpha? Not quite
I really do not know much about this sort of thing however I was under the impression that because alpha is just a stage of testing how the game 'functions' in general, the state of assets such as voice acting, textures, animations etc. can be anything from almost non-existent to almost complete and...

@david I see, so most of that sort of work mentioned in the article will already have been done for games using the Unity engine?

Re: Possible Console Version?
I too would love to see GoaT on consoles. The PS4 may well be my next-gen platform as I'm not sure what (if any) type of new computer I will be able to afford. I guess console ports should be ok to deal with for people who actually know about these things but when I read this article it sounded rath...

Re: The greatest games of all time & what are you playing no
I guess I haven't really played that many games and my age means I haven't tried too many classics, and so my selections are a bit random! My favourite is probably Call of Duty 4, it was just such a good FPS and definitely my most hours in any game, which I guess is to some extent a good measure. (I...

Re: Boxed Collector's edition
I also like these ideas :) I would really like (signed) posters and a t-shirt in it. If one were to be made with the more expensive items, such as figurines, model lutes etc., I think there should be another cheaper version without those, since I'm sure there are people (like me) who might want one ...

Re: Humans
As David said, the world we have seen so far seems to be a 'normal' fantasy world with humans/monsters replaced by animals. Having this world inhabited (or once inhabited) by humans certainly gives great opportunities for interesting large scale structures, features or areas, however I think it may ...

Re: In Game Dialogue
In terms of dialogue I will have to concede that full voicing would be far too expensive, however I would still really like text dialogue (with accompanying animal noises! :D ). Although of course I would still like to see more interesting, environmental storytelling. As for the narrator, I have not...

Re: In Game Dialogue
Unfortunately I would like the most expensive option of full voicing, I like the anthropomorphism of the animals and so I would like them to speak like humans (with a suitable voice reflecting their animal features ie the mouse being small and squeaky or a frog being 'croaky').

Re: The Lute!
Sorry for being boring, but the lute is there because you are a minstrel mouse and I personally doubt it will have any significant role in the game.
