How to get into the sewers?

I am stuck and can't get into the sewers? Spent all the money so i can't ask the blacksmith...
Any hints on how to get into the sewers and get the antidote, please? :) :) :)

some things you can only find and/or use that require you to have a light source to see it
[Aka you need to be holding a light when you go to the sewer gate]

Hi,
i am at the same point but if i'm talking to the Elevator Gate Guard he don't let me go and in the sewers entrance near the frog pirate i can't find a way to find some spider venom.

What did i missed ?
