Re: Lighting the way

Hopefully you'll like what you see! But yes, there will be completely dark areas impossible to cross in the game if you don't have a light source. And this is not just a cosmetic thing either. If you do not carry a lamp some items will remain hidden to Tilo; they will not register as visible/interac...

Re: Eventual Modding Support?

The situation with GoaT is that everything is directly built in Maya and Unity; in other words Unity is the "modding tool". Sets and locations are unique in that they are entirely modeled in a 3D app, like a movie set; they aren't really based on a "construction kit" system where...

Yeah "It looks a bit like Styx: Master of Shadows, except with a mouse instead of a goblin" isn't exactly the description blurb I would go for, personally.

Good idea! :)

Regarding the reasons for the change, it is very pragmatic really: I made sure the couple of third-party assets that GoaT relies on already support Unity 5.0, and the ones that didn't... well I ditched them and recreated their functionality from scratch... ^^

Re: First console version - Xbox only

Very good question. No need to worry though; in the case of GoaT (I can't speak for other indies) the only thing it means is the game cannot be released on any other console before Xbox One.

This agreement does not affect the game's PC release in any way (I made sure of that).

Those worries are all very legitimate. I can only put them into perspective. And that perspective is defined by my reasons to create "Ghost of a Tale" in the first place: 1) To enjoy the development adventure: As you all know I'm working on GoaT out of passion. It's not just a job for whic...
