Recently I've started Steam again and ran the validation again. Again Steam said that one file will be downloaded again. This time a 3.8 kb file was downloaded. Unfortunately PC still freezes when starting the game.

Did the integrity check and one corrupted file was detected. Steam Download then had that file listed with size of 0 kb. Then another check said all files ok.

I've managed to collect all 12 fate cards and already got the corresponding quest earlier. So journal says go back an talk to Fatale. When i talk to her, she does not take notice and just says something like "sssshhhh, he's here.." .

It seems that it is exactly what you said. The game does not switch areas. E.g. when leaving the jail and entering the yard, when pressing the map button the jail is still displayed. Also when saving, the title of the save is jail and not yard.
