Maybe a frog can't tell the difference, but you'd expect the rats to be able to (at least I'd have thought so).

Just noticed something Rolo says..

If you ask Rolo about Merra, he says something to the effect that he knows she isn't in the keep as they don't keep female prisoners here.

Err, Fatale is female..

Re: Florins locations

I didn't really take notice having just played through 1.62, but there was def. a barrel or two that had florins that weren't there before. The florins behind the banner btw - I reported a bug with them in the last version, where if you pressed the A button fast enough to collect them, you'd get 12 ...

A couple of inconsistencies.

A couple of things that have stood out, and are more inconsistencies than bugs. This first one is really picky, but for the quest Rotgut for a Pirate Frog, Kerold wants the rotgut so that the guard won't fall asleep and snore all the time. However, you can finish the quest using any bottle of rotgut...

You can't fight (though you can knock a guard out with a well thrown bottle as long as he isn't wearing a helmet.). The white arrow means you're holding something that you can throw which is useful for distracting guards.

Jim Sterling's Youtube Vid..

This was mentioned in a Steam thread, but for those that haven't seen it, Jim Sterling (ex-Escapist, ex-Destructoid guy) pretty much loses his s**t and falls in love with the game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A1eZuWRe9nI0

Re: stairs still not working and other things :D

I thought I was going mad with trying to find the last beetle, as I couldn't find it. I took a break, and the next time I loaded it up, I found the same thing had happened as above - 2 extra beetles appeared in previous locations, but only after I'd reloaded. I tried a fresh game to verify, and the ...

I've played it enough now that the guards rarely hit me, and I'm hardly ever stealthy anymore. It's a bit bizarre that I'm actually losing more health from costume changes than by being attacked.

Re: Day and night cycle seems broken or at least a bit off

It shouldn't have been dark at 8am - it's normally light by then.

From what I've seen, day and night (as far as lighting is concerned) seems to alter around 6am and 6pm. I think sunset should be pushed back a bit, so you have more daylight hours -maybe to 9pm or so.

Extra Florins..

Oh, the dilemma of reporting this one, lol..

Behind the banner next to the Pirate Frogs Cell you can collect 6 florins. However, if you jump to collect them while rapidly pressing the A button, it will sometimes register you getting them twice, so you'll end up with 12 florins instead.

Considering you can throw a stick across a chasm to drop a drawbridge (even if the mechanism is faulty), then you should be able to set off a bear trap with one!

Re: Costume Health Amount Issue and Solution

I think it would just be less confusing to have a set health bar, and have different armour reduce damage by different amounts (armour already has weapon resistance values anyway).

Just increase the effectiveness of the different armour to compensate for not effecting the actual health bar.

Re: Early Access: to play or not to play?

When I reached the courtyard, it did cross my mind to stop playing and wait, but I just fell in love with the game so much, I continued on. What I will say is that once you've thoroughly explored the game and you have a solid grasp of where everything is, you'll find that you can do a run through of...

Re: Thoughts on the current stealth system

I'll have to agree with what's been said about ignoring stealth and just sprinting about. I was just trying to figure something earlier, and just threw caution to the wind and started running past all the guards. Once you have an idea where you can hide, it's just easier to run all over the place an...

Wandering ranger boots! (Steam 1.49)

Seems like the ranger boots decided to go for a walk ;) I found them in the corridor directly below the location they should have been in (screenshot attached). Can't open maps. I just got some maps from Rolo and I seem to be unable to open them. Every time I try, they seem to appear for a fraction of a second and disappear. The sound plays as it should. Reloading didn't work. Restarting the game (ok, I'm now on V1.49  ) didn't solve the issue. Just...

A couple of bugs (Steam 1.32)

Was playing a new game and got to the begging door. I threw a bottle at the key, but after it fell to the floor I couldn't pick it up. Re: Night to day..

The problem is that if you emerge from the prison into the courtyard for the first time and it's night, you get a very poor sense of where things are, and it makes any initial exploration of that area very tough. As for being chased, I get what you're saying (though your lantern/candle range seems e...

Well, I'll say it since I don't think anyone else has mentioned it yet. Have you considered Oculus Rift support? Re: Collectibles In Game

I don't mind collectibles if they also provide an actual bonus to collecting them. Sleeping Dogs springs to mind - finding the prayer shrines boosted your overall health, so you got a benefit from going after them. However, having collectibles just to artificially inflate the length of a game (and n...
