Re: What are you currently listening to?

@Jeremiah I really dig The Tempest track! Thanks for sharing! @evilkinggumby Muse is such an awesome band. Just how the singer/guitarist can keep track of all that stuff he is doing at the same time will always remain a mystery to me. One other band to check that is not as well known but pretty uniq...

Re: Join our 'Borderlands 2' rampage tomorrow... 3 July!

Ha, you caught me on my weak foot. I played Borderlands 1 for about 10 hours before branding it as a huge grind without any deeper enjoyment to get out of it. I automatically transferred it to the second part although I've been hearing a lot of good things about it (especially about its coop). Unfor...

Re: If you like... share your Steam ID here... here's mine

Thanks david but I've got both games already. Both are excellent btw. Portal 1+2 are really a milestone in gaming history (Portal 1 more so than the second, but I enjoyed the second more). Go and play them! The first one is pretty small too, only takes 5ish hours or so to finish. During my high-time...

Re: Dimensions of Quality - what is your priority?

I see evilkinggumby and I share a taste for homemade stuff (and concern about today's gamer's progeny). In Germany there has been a strong movement towards handcrafted goods (not only food, but everyday utensils). Problem is, as long as you (or your family) doesn't make them yourself, they are wicke...

Re: Dimensions of Quality - what is your priority?

it is hard to put a finger on why some older games just 'hit' it right and are fun. seeing your post, it reminded me of what a co worker said when I showed him this game and linked him the alpha video and screenshots. He had this wash of youthful excitement and eager "fun" come over him, like " oh ...

Re: Dimensions of Quality - what is your priority?

Interesting thread... For me it depends on which type of game I'm playing. Breaking it down, there are two different types of games that I enjoy: Competetive Multiplayer and Storydriven Singleplayer 1) competetive multiplayer like Natural Selection/Team Fortress/Battlefield/Starcraft - With these ga...

Re: Great video game deals and sales - on now

Io and behold! I already bought something (Papers Please) despite my holy oath to not ever burden my backlog any further. Well, if I never come around to play it, maybe, some day, my kids will :)

Tis a steam-centered world... Don't tell me you missed the incredible GOG-sale!

Re: What are you currently eating?

Let's see if I can recall the ingredients:

heaps of butter
heaps of sugar
heaps of chocolate (both dark and light brown)
a pinch of flour

Something like that... As far as I recall there where no insects in it. I might suggest spiders the next time.
