How will GoaT be received by the audience and critics?

With the game making good progress and nearing its first playable demo at the gamescom this coming August, I started thinking about the initial reception both as a demo and as a final product. It got me thinking about the poeple who might not be as emotionally invested in the game as I am, who might...

Re: Who'll visit the GOAT stand: Gamescom, Cologne, August 1

By the looks of it I won't be able to attend neither the Gamescom nor your fancy cyberspace conference as I'll be on a holiday without internets. :( but also a little :) Make sure to document everything for me to watch later, please. And also for shooting the info out there in space to demonstrate t...

Re: Interesting and cinematic island locations

Yay for lava caves (see also my previous post: http://www.ghostofatale.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=182#p228)! In my function as chief master geologist of the Royal GoaT Science Assosiation it is my duty to inform you that Fingal's Cave is not a lava cave sensu stricto, but a sea cave eroded by wa...

Re: Interesting and cinematic island locations

I really dig the whole cave thing with tidal flooding! It sounds like a lot of work, but it suits the game really well imo (a mouse-game has got to have an underground section anyway :) ). As a contrast I would love to see an area with alpine meadows and some dwarf shrubs. I feel like the game would...

Re: In-game references

Nice idea for a thread! There certainly needs to be a reference to the mouse shadow in the second moon (Dune)! http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-_1W93cjUFuA/ULdxhYhOU5I/AAAAAAAALyA/a9qnmaRVrLU/s400/2nd%2Bmoon%2Barakis.png Or the Muad'Dib (desert mouse and one of my many nicknames, for I am the Kwisatz Hader...

Re: GOAT is headlining on the UNITY engine blog!

Holy smoke! that is a huge amount of users! I love to see GoaT getting the attention it deserves, I'm still in awe looking at the work Seith has pulled together so far. Concerning the game interface and story progression I'm with david. I adore games that can create environments intuitive enough to ...

Re: Kitchens For Sale UK

Or heck if once every few days (game time) you got to play Tilo's mum in a mouse kitchen back home prepping a lunch for Tilo, then sending it via carrier Pigeon to drop off wherever you were (outdoors at least) that'd be fun too. lol, I can picture her chatting to a prosecco-drinking friend through...

Re: Kitchens For Sale UK

How flattering!

Your kitchens are probably the best I have ever used and I would just like to say how proud I am to be a member of the British Royal Kitchen Society.

Re: The next blog update...

Tilo is an excellent choice for a mouse name. Very mousy indeed and very unique. Once the franchise is owned by Disney they will be very grateful for such a high value of brand recognition :D Loving the details of the lore. What I especially like is that the hero's heritage is burdened with betrayal...

Re: Will GOAT move to Unity 5?

Wow, even though I'm not 100% sure (meaning I'm about 7% sure) what this means, it sounds like good news. Newer is always better, right? No, seriously, the news of Unity 5 being released this summer made me think: maybe GoaT won't get the full support as a top-notch Unity showcase game after all bei...
