Video, Animation or films that remind you of GoaT?

This is a thread for any of you that have found videos or other similar material that when watched have some feeling or idea that reminds you of Ghost of A Tale. I figured I'd make this because a friend of a friend posted this and it's REALLY amazing, adorable, kinda adult but also kind of adorable....

Re: Game launches that I'm really looking forward to

Most of what I am anticipating is actually kickstarter/indie based games. In the AAA market, the only thing I guess I am half curious about is Dragon age : inquisition, but I'm still a bit gun shy to go all in on that one. Sadly I don't know if a lot of what I'm hoping to see released in 2015 WILL r...

If they updated the visual engine in vc2 to use vc1's design it's be even better. I'd buy it, for sure. i may grab it anyhow...

I am hoping that music is an important part of the game. (Mind you, I would consider myself a high end Graphics Connoisseur as well.) GOOD. Because saying they want the xbone players to feel like they are first class, by essentially limiting what games can be released on it, seems mighty counter intuitive.. We'll start at around 10:00 EST (UTC -05:00) and play for 2-3 hours. Character's level - Low to mid Teens. Characters: Davi...

Initially this is more of a question thread where I pose that question to David and Seith. Re: World scale and size morphing

I think the idea is kool but I have to agree with David, to pull that off and have it work in a satisfying way would likely require a whole team of dev's in order to have the proper mesh/polygon adjustment and on the fly texture/bump/shadow/real mapping converted from micro to macro realistically. I...

Things to consider can be stuff like: Emotes Random animations...

Re: Redwall-style riddles and puzzles

Sorry to be a bit late to the game on this thread but can one of you (or anyone really) explain or example a redwall style puzzle? I am a bit clueless on this. :)

Re: Great video game deals and sales - on now

Pretty awesome bundle. I already have more than half of that lineup so I will likely just passfor now. But it is well worth it for anyone that has not checked out those games. Lot of hidden gems!

Well the middle pair are the twins from The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Movie. The last I think is the mouse from The Green Mile. The first arcade game I don't recognize.. so no idea :)

Re: EA Humble Bundle

I also grabbed it up. A few of the games I already had on Steam so i tossed the codes at a friend who did not. The rest I'll link on my origin account when I have time. A really great steal for a great cause. :) I wouldn't be surprised if we see GoaT added to some of the humble bundles down the road...

Re: Suggest Enemy types!

A GoaT goat? That's a terrific in-reference! If Seith can pull it off, in terms of size (b'cos all the animals we've seen so far seem to be to real-life scale... relative to each other) and a goat would be a colossus compared to a mouse. Even so, if it is doable, it would be fun as heck. ;) T...

Re: The greatest games of all time & what are you playing no

@David- Burnout on the laptop eh? I am guessing Burnout: Paradise? I actually don't own that, but I did see a good bit of it on my friend's rig. I Like the fact it really made a big open explorable world to play in, though the fact they were straying away from the style and fun of the prior games bu...

Re: So um.. where is everyone?

Wow, I'm kind of sad. This campaign shows almost 1,200 donators on the indiegogo site and yet there is only about 40 registered users on the forums... @Seith- Southern France is supposed to be pretty beautiful. I have only seen northern and a bit of central france, and even that had a great beauty a...

Re: Collectibles In Game

Actually Hats would be a great collectible too, especially if you had the option to wear them, or put them on a wall/hat rack in your den as a sort of 'trophy case' :) Even better if the various hats had a slight added effect when worn, and made the mouse either glow a vague aura, or possibly just c...

Re: Music is somehow at the core of the game

I like the idea that back in the day (and by the day i mean long long ago) Minstrels were there to travel and pass along local folklore, bring news and music and art to different areas. They sort of brought a certain amount of color and inspiration to the lands through song and story and dance. I do...

Re: The greatest game of all time, & what are you playing no

Hoo that's a hard one. My moods change so often that I don't stick with a game for too long and swap back and forth. Likely why I don't always finish games. The handful of games I always find myself going back to would be Burnout:Revenge SSX Tricky Fallout 3 Persona 3 or 4 Strange assortment I guess...

Collectibles In Game

What might you enjoy seeing as collectibles in the game? Should it have one large collection or a few smaller ones to unlock possible items/abilities/steam achievements? A lot of games have this, and sometimes it feels ham-fisted and artificially injected into the game. But if it feels like a natur...

Re: Boxed Collector's edition

@EvilKing... Seith did 2D animation for The Road to El Dorado and The Prince of Egypt (both for Dreamworks) way back before he moved to doing 3D. So its a good bet that he could, theoretically, draw and paint a collector's edition poster as you suggest ;) Ha awesome. I had no idea so that is great ...

Re: Boxed Collector's edition

@Gab and EvilKing... really, every single one of those ideas is excellent  Haha sky is the limit, right? One thing i'd also love to see is a poster or art print/litho by Seith. I don't know if he is classically studio-trained for drawing/painting but if he is it'd be very great to see some...

Re: What was your first impression of Ghost of a Tale?

Sadly I was unawares of those early efforts. I caught word of it online somewhere (can't recall if it was from a message board or from another kickstarter campaign) and took a look at the fundraising page. Seeing the demo videos, reading Seith's pedigree, and the overall vibe I got for the project w...

This is a dual-definition question. For those who have registered and come to the forums, where are you from (geographically)? And for the thousands who backed the project and haven't come to the forums.. where are you?! I am from New York, USA. http://img3.etsystatic.com/000/0/5262734/il_full...

Sky is the limit! :) I will say so far everyone has been really encouraging and nice about suggestions, (no flaming or trolling at all) so even if it seems totally outlandish, bonkers, epic or insane.. I'd say toss it out there as it may inspire Seith and his folks to do stuff never imagined.
