Re: *STOP PRESS* I played two early builds of GOAT
I can't tell if progress on the game is flying by or if things hit a standstill cause David found a big ol problem in the code... Praise the GoaT and the infinite creativity and resourcefulness of the Seith! And praise their herald and peacekeeper david! For their vision is all-embracing and their ...

Re: So um.. where is everyone?
It would be kool to see GoaT have an area of the map explorable that was the result of a severe ice storm. It would be interesting to navigate such slippery conditions, but also seeing everything encased in semi-transparent ice would be fascinating. And you could have some broken ice/falling ice as...

Re: Playing GOAT at high resolution - Korean monitors?
Sorry I missed your latest posts. Even more sorry to hear of the trouble your friend ran into! I hope he finds a way to have it work out via adapters. The design of these monitors isn't really their strong suit and the brightness seems to be a little too much on the photo, but I'm glad he is enjoyin...

You both make very good points and there is not much that I can add except maybe the notion that imo world size is ultimately linked to freedom of movement. Let me explain this with a few examples: The Mass Effect as well as The Witcher series both have stunning vistas and very big open spaces. Yet,...

Alright, I may have lost this battle, but PLS monitors will be back one day and you know it... AND YOU KNOW IT!!! I resign and leave the field to evil kinggumby (on a totally unrelated note: think about that name!) as I don't have a clue about projectors. You made up your mind and I respect that. Go...

I'm flattered , a post just for my response. It is just a hobby that turns into an obsession every year or so until I hav...

Before anyone here considers buying a projector: have you ever thought about getting one kf these super cheap korean 2560x1440 PLS monitors? Because I did. They are AMAZING!!! Lol, I hope that is an Ultra HD screen there. The only way to play GOAT in its full glory.
The whole point is: you don't port to SteamBox. You port to SteamOS. But you can install SteamOS on any system. That's how I understand it and that is the huge difference between the SteamBox and consoles.

@Evilkinggumby Translating the game to steambox would mean porting it for linux wouldn't it? As far as I know, SteamOS is linux-based. I'd be delighted to see GOAT making it onto linux. However, if there is something I don't begin to understand, it is the SteamBox. Valve said they want to satisfy th...

Wouldn't it be great to have a game that doesn't only offer different climate zones, but actual seasons? A little late to the party... Anyway... From the second I saw the feature on RPS about GoaT, I was hooked. Wow, that is one fortitious mouse! You captured the vigouresness and boldness very well. Just one little detail: wearing the lute like that would be pretty uncomfy both for the mouse and the lute as the strings would continuously rub against the mouse's back. @Jeremiah Any chance you'd want to share...

I love the ideas that emphasize the unique scale of the game, like bird --> dragon. I feel this needs to be stressed, it is a HUGE selling point of the game. Right, onto what I wanted to say: what do you think the role of the Little Mouse's Lute will be? Will it be a kind of magical tool? Even a weapon (have to think about the guitar in Brütal Legend ;) )? Will it fill a central role in some of the quests? Will there be some sort of "playing" s...
