Re: Possible Console Version?

Before anyone here considers buying a projector: have you ever thought about getting one kf these super cheap korean 2560x1440 PLS monitors? Because I did. They are AMAZING!!! The colours, the space, even the response times are really good for a non-TN panel. They use the same Samsung panels that Ap...

Re: Possible Console Version?

Lol, I hope that is an Ultra HD screen there. The only way to play GOAT in its full glory.

The whole point is: you don't port to SteamBox. You port to SteamOS. But you can install SteamOS on any system. That's how I understand it and that is the huge difference between the SteamBox and consoles.

Re: Possible Console Version?

@Evilkinggumby Translating the game to steambox would mean porting it for linux wouldn't it? As far as I know, SteamOS is linux-based. I'd be delighted to see GOAT making it onto linux. However, if there is something I don't begin to understand, it is the SteamBox. Valve said they want to satisfy th...

Re: How Can I pre-order/support This game?

Seith is a wise captain, steering this ship safely through untested waters. I'm sure he is doing the right thing although his motivs are hidden from me. I'm having difficulties wrapping my head around the dependency of the game's developement status and the opening of that shop. No mutiny intended b...

Re: Ghost of a Tale in Indie Statik's 100 Most Anticipated

Sorry, I was thinking of this description underneath the video on the first page of the site, the blog page. "Ghost of a Tale is the adventure of a minstrel mouse exploring the mysterious and dangerous island of Periclave." Were you folks thinking of something else? . Yes, I (and e...

Re: Ghost of a Tale in Indie Statik's 100 Most Anticipated

Everyone and their mother wants this game. :) And their grandmother! Nice to see the game is so anticipated! It is in good company too, as far as I can say; pretty swell list. I'm unsure of the game description, if it really captures what the game will be about in the end. It feels a bit off to me,...

Re: Ghost of A Tale Blog Posts

I am glad you are so determined and in love with this work. We're all eager to see the game, but I am betting everyone is more than willing to wait and see it done right and complete, then done fast and sloppy. :) Just try to get it out there before I turn 80 and develop alzheimers hehehe... Climate zone and seasons

Wouldn't it be great to have a game that doesn't only offer different climate zones, but actual seasons? It might have been done before, but I know of no game (an RPG preferably) that has achieved this. Imagine how awesome it would be to experience a game world where spring with melting ice and mass...

World scale and size morphing

Alright, you asked for it :) I love the play with scale. I loved it in Psychonauts, when you were Goggalor in Lungfishopolis, I loved driving my match box cars through sand castles and toasters in Micro Machines and I loved the level in Serious Sam 2 where you shoot your way through a backyard with ...

The finest game soundtracks... ever!

You know how david mentioned that “Music is somehow at the core of the game”? I think so too. And you know how david recently asked “[What is] the greatest game of all time”? It made me think. What exactly was so compelling about the games I’d pick, why do I still remember them 10 years on? Looking ...

Yoshi's Island and Goldeneye sure were great games! The greatest game of all time...? Would have to pick Little Big Adventure 2, because I'm one sentimental bastard! Made by Frenchmen too btw! Also highly recommended: Archimedean Dynasty (Schleichfahrt) Dark Forces II Gothic II Risen I Faster than l...

Re: What was your first impression of Ghost of a Tale?

A little late to the party... Anyway... From the second I saw the feature on RPS about GoaT, I was hooked. I watched the early alpha footage and was stunned by the vividness of the environment and characters and also, it had a slight gothicesque vibe to it. I actually immediately went over to Indieg...

@David It's pretty easy to discern it's not ash, since ash has greyer bark, lots of black-brown buds and pinnate compound leaves. :P I'd say the branch in the drawing could be from a tea bush. Re: Share your art, fiction, music, inspired by Ghost of a T

Wow, that is one fortitious mouse! You captured the vigouresness and boldness very well. Just one little detail: wearing the lute like that would be pretty uncomfy both for the mouse and the lute as the strings would continuously rub against the mouse's back. @Jeremiah Any chance you'd want to share...

Re: Suggest Enemy types!

I love the ideas that emphasize the unique scale of the game, like bird --> dragon. I feel this needs to be stressed, it is a HUGE selling point of the game. After all, playing a minstrel mouse is something different from the every-day run-of-the-mill muscle/boobs-packed hero. Also I would like the ...

Right, onto what I wanted to say: what do you think the role of the Little Mouse's Lute will be? Will it be a kind of magical tool? Even a weapon (have to think about the guitar in Brütal Legend ;) )? Will it fill a central role in some of the quests? Will there be some sort of "playing" s...
