More feedback upon taking damage?

I noticed that if you're taking damage from the poison spores in the sewers, it's pretty easy to not notice you're taking this damage, the first few times it killed me I had no idea what killed me and assumed it was a bug

It probably couldn't hurt to have some more obvious feedback upon taking damage, especially as it's been hinted that crossbow rats might get added.

Maybe Tilo should cough when he's in a poison environment. And/or the health bar could flash, or pulsate (like it does when you've got low health). I noticed it turned purple when being depleted by poison (the way it turns red when losing health or using stamina.) Maybe the entire bar can turn purple when you're near poison?
