I've made fan art of Tilo this time. Most of it was done by hand with custom Photoshop brushes I made. I used some photos for some small things like texturing the clothing. My tools were Photoshop, Analog Efex Pro 2, and a small Wacom Bamboo Pen Tablet.

I was going to include a visible fire in the picture but I felt it would be too distracting. I also got small things wrong like the head of the lute but by the time I noticed it I felt it would take a little too much time to fix.

I've never made digital art this detailed before and I'm really happy with how it turned out. :D

I also made a wallpaper for 16:9 screens (1080p):

Thanks for the comments!

As for how I make art like this - I can't put out any kind of comprehensive tutorial, but I will say that I learned a lot from Aaron Blaise's art videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vZ5ulFxA-eA :)
