Inventory Inaccessible

I loaded up the new release for the first time and discovered a problem that I never had in the preview versions. When told to press the menu button to access my inventory, it opens the main menu instead. So I tried the view button instead, which does nothing. When I went to the Controls section it shows the menu button for BOTH the inventory and main menu. And they're both locked so I can't manually change it. Any help would be much appreciated!

Update: Even though I had already tried this, something told me to uninstall and download the game again. Now everything works as it should!
